One measurement decides your size: your waist. On a high-waist brief the waistband is what holds everything in place, so that is what we size on — not your hips.
Please check your size before you order. Calm Wear is intimate apparel, worn directly against the skin. For hygiene reasons — the same standard applied by underwear retailers everywhere — we cannot accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered. That is exactly why we would rather spend two minutes with you now: message us on WhatsApp with your waist measurement and we will confirm your size before you order. Sizes S to XL
How to measure: wrap the tape around your middle just below your belly button — where a belt normally sits. Keep the tape level and comfortable, not pulled tight.

The ranges don't overlap — your waist measurement lands on exactly one size, and the chart already allows for the stretch in the fabric. Larger sizes are coming with our next shipment.
Fit tips
- Go by the tape measurement rather than the label in something you already own — South African labelling varies enormously between brands, so a 38 in one shop is not a 38 in the next.
- Calm Wear is designed to fit close to the body so the absorbent core stays where it should. A snug band seals better than a loose one — snug is right; tight is wrong.
- The high waist is cut to stay put, not to compress.
- If you are fuller-figured through the tummy and hips, the size finder below takes that into account when it recommends your size.
